As Past President I want to thank the Board and the Members for a productive year at ISHP. I think we made great strides in promoting our organization through our Awareness Campaign and once again raised over $200,000 for Hollywood Heart and Camp Pacific Heartland, thanks to our hardworking Fundraising Committee of Neil Locke and David Shulman and our Vendor Sponsors.
I am excited about the future of our organization and hope that 2017 will be a banner year for new enrollment. As an organization we hold a significant amount of purchasing power in number of projects and purchasing volume and most importantly exemplify how quality procurement is done in the hospitality industry. I welcome Carl Long to the presidency and expect that he will continue to promote ISHP to the benefit of all members.
As an industry we have experienced some fantastic years and as we enter a new cycle and anticipate a moderation on new projects, I still expect that there will be ample work to go around. I am proud of how well our group gets along, I consider many of our members close friends and look forward to everyone’s continued success. If we all keep a positive attitude, the multitude of problems both inside and outside of procurement are just minor bumps along the way.
